BTEB Diploma Admission 2025-26: Merit Lists Overview

The BTEB (Bangladesh Technical Education Board) conducts the Diploma (Polytechnic) admission process each year for students who want to pursue technical and vocational diploma programs like Engineering, Agriculture, Textile, Fisheries, etc. For the 2025-26 admission cycle, BTEB publishes results in phases, including multiple merit lists based on applicants’ scores from the admission test and academic qualifications.

BTEB Admission Result 1st Merit List

📍 1st Merit List

The 1st Merit List is the first and most important list released by BTEB.
It was published on 4 September 2025 on the official admission portal btebadmission.gov.bd.
Students selected in this list are those with the highest merit scores based on the admission test result and SSC result (GPA).
After being selected, applicants must confirm their admission between 4 September and 7 September 2025.

BTEB Admission Result 2nd Merit List

📍 2nd Merit List

Candidates who did not secure a place in the 1st Merit List may appear in the 2nd Merit List.
The 2nd Merit List was published on 9 September 2025.
Those selected in this phase must confirm their seats quickly, usually by the next day (around 10 September 2025).
Sometimes a migration list (auto-migration to higher preferences) is published together with the 2nd Merit List.

If seats still remain vacant after the first two lists, BTEB releases a 3rd Merit List.
For 2025-26, the 3rd Merit List came out on 24 September 2025.
Students offered seats in the 3rd list must confirm admission between 25 September and 27 September 2025.

Click the “Admission Result / Merit List” link.
Enter your roll number, exam year, board name, and other required details.
Submit to see if you’re on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd merit list.

You may also receive an automated SMS with your merit status if you provided your mobile number during application.

📌 What Happens After Selection

Once a candidate is listed on any merit list, they must confirm their seat within the deadline set by BTEB.
Failure to confirm in time can cancel the seat offer.
After confirmation, candidates complete final admission procedures with their allotted institute.

Candidate Selection Method:

There is no admission test to admit in Government & Non-government Institutes both institutes,
Interested candidates can get admit by their result of SSC or equivalent exams,
Interested candidates have to apply by online process. Online application from will be found in Bangladesh Technical Education Board website at bteb.gov.bd, www.btebadmission.gov.bd,
At first candidates
Admission all process will have to fill complete before registration,
Candidates will get chance to admit by their choice (which is mentioned on online application form), merit & quota,
Government & Non-government Institutes both institutes rules of procedures in admission & management will be completed by the authorities of BTEB (Bangladesh Technical Education Board),
If any institute’s seat will be vacant, then waiting list of admission will be published,
Those candidates was passed SSC or same exam in 2023, 2024 & 2025, they can apply in Polytechnic Diploma Admission 2026,
Also 2 years Trade Course completed candidates can apply, but their age should be maximum 22 years old.

Payment Process of Polytechnic Admission Final Fee

To Complete Final Admission, applicants have to pay Admission Fee by Teletalk Mobile. Admission Fee is at BDT. 1125. See SMS System for admission:-

1^st SMS: BTAD <SPACE> TRACKING ID AND SEND TO 16222

Example: BTAD 43514578900422 and send to 16222

Reply: You will get a return Massage with Pin Number, Your Name, Fee and Chance Institute Name. Then you have to send another Massage to complete your Admission. DTAD Space YES space Pin Number and your Mobile Number (any Operator) and send 16222

2^nd SMS: BTAD <SPACE> YES <SPACE> PIN NUMBER <SPACE> ANY MOBILE NUMBER AND SEND TO 16222

For Example: BTAD <Space> YES <Space> 128845 <Space> 0190023548344 and Send to 16222

Note: You have to Send Admission Fee. During Payment, you can apply for Migration.
